Paper Dreams | Clown's Solo Show

Paper Dreams is a clown performance that explores the fragility of dreams and the cost of ambition in a society obsessed with material success. The story follows Coicoi, a quirky clown who works at a company making paper airplanes—a metaphor for the fleeting nature of her own desires. Through laughter and stumbles, Coicoi navigates the world of work, learning first to fall before she can fly.

Coicoi’s character represents the innocence and vulnerability of anyone trapped in a system that rewards productivity at any cost. In her quest for professional success, Coicoi becomes lost in delusions and obsessions that alienate her from her true self. Her love for her cell phone and obsession with money turn her life into a comical and tragic chaos, where each step forward takes her further from her essence.

At her lowest point, Coicoi experiences a moment of clarity that transports her to a childhood memory. This nostalgic and pure moment reconnects her with the joy of simply being, free from the need to pretend or achieve success. Paper Dreams is an emotional and poetic journey that reflects the highs and lows of modern life, exploring the internal struggle to preserve our humanity in a world that often neglects it.
