A doorway
into presence

An embodied space where clown becomes being.

Visionary Clown is an embodied exploration where clown, movement, imagination, and subtle awareness meet. It is a space where play becomes a doorway into presence, curiosity, and deeper states of perception.

Rather than focusing on clown as a character to perform, Visionary Clown approaches clown as a state of being — a place of openness where the body listens, the imagination awakens, and unexpected truths emerge.

Through movement, play, and creative exercises, participants are invited to explore moments of wonder, insight, connection, and transformation.

2015

A seed planted in Winnipeg.

The seed of Visionary Clown was planted in 2015 during the Winnipeg Fringe Festival in Canada. Carolina encountered someone who introduced her to the idea of mystical experiences — states of awareness that expand perception and open the mind to deeper layers of reality.

This encounter sparked a deep curiosity: Why are moments of insight, unity, wonder, and deep presence so rarely cultivated in everyday life? What if play could become a doorway to these openings of awareness?

In 2020, while working in the Colombian Caribbean, Carolina began developing this exploration alongside Argentine clown Alejandro Leguizamón (Payaso Varsovia). Together they experimented with exercises and improvisational structures that invited participants into heightened states of presence and perception.

Clown moves freely between many dimensions.

Through Visionary Clown, traditional clown exercises and improvisational games become portals into states of presence, awareness, and connection. Small awakenings begin to emerge through play.

Movement, Elements & Animal Archetypes.

To access different states of perception, the practice draws from movement qualities inspired by the natural elements. By embodying animal archetypes, participants can borrow their energy and perspective — the animal becomes a bridge to qualities that may feel unreachable in ordinary identity.
